4 Simple Tips to Help You Take Control of Your Finances

Hi, my name is Mei Carmer and I’m an associate financial advisor here at Katterhenry Investment Group. In this video, I’ll discuss four simple tips that will help you take control of your finances.

Number one, set goals and keep an eye on them. This seems obvious, but most people don’t do it. To manage money well, set goals and track your progress. Whether its saving for retirement or hitting a specific account balance, having clear targets can make all the difference.

Number two, consolidate accounts. Generally, multiple financial accounts can be a headache and even put you at increased risk for cybercrime. By consolidating your accounts, you’ll have an easier time evaluating your financial performance.

Number three, set up automatic bill pay and savings. Late payments result in steep fees and wasted money. Avoid this by setting up bill pay with no charge, available at many financial institutions.

And number four, team up with an advisor. Sometimes the best way to find success is to bring a professional on board. Someone who can offer advice on a wide range of issues - retirement, estate planning, insurance, taxation, and more. With a professional guiding you down your financial path, you’ll be better able to make informed decisions.

Start incorporating these tips, and you could find yourself feeling more confident and successful with your money. And if you need a hand with any of these tips, just give us a shout – we’re here to help!
