Clay received his bachelor’s degree from Hope College in economics and business before beginning his lifelong career in financial services. His degree gave him the confidence to navigate the industry as his true self: a listener, a lifelong learner, and someone clients can depend on. It is important to him to get to know his clients on a deeper level and to assist them in understanding their finances.

When Clay attended his first course in personal finance at the age of 14, he was deeply impacted by the stress he witnessed his fellow classmates, mostly middle-aged professionals, carrying due to financial concerns. He realized there was an opportunity to help others shift their mindset from viewing money as a burden to viewing it as a handy tool to reach their
goals. It has been his personal resolve since then to become a resource through every life stage for people around him who he could help lighten this burden by helping them see the bigger picture and create long term goals. He holds Series 7, 24, and 66 securities registration, as well as his life and health licenses.

Outside of work, you can find Clay playing pickleball, training for a triathlon, or cooking a good meal for a close friend. In his spare time, he also enjoys reading and discovering new wines.
